Job summary

EA First is seeking a Pump Service Engineer to service, maintain, repair and commission wastewater pumping stations across customer sites. The role combines practical engineering with fault-finding and customer support.

You will travel across the North, Midlands and London area, with a 45-hour week, salary up to £50,000, plus a company van and overtime. This is a permanent, full-time field-based position.

Qualifications

• Hands-on pump maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Experience working at customer sites and communicating findings clearly.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Flexibility for overnight stays and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on wastewater pumping stations.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on pumps and related equipment.
• Installing replacement pumps and components.
• Commissioning pumping stations and verifying operation.
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
• Inspecting equipment and recommending repairs or improvements.
• Completing accurate service reports and communicating findings to customers and colleagues.
• Working independently and with other engineers while maintaining safety.
