Job summary

EA First is seeking a Pump Service Engineer to service and repair wastewater pumping stations at customer sites, combining practical engineering with independent fault-finding and strong customer support.

Based across the North, Midlands and London area, you will travel to sites, carry out planned servicing, diagnose faults, install replacements and participate in on-call duties. The role offers £45,000-£50,000 basic salary (DOE) with a company van and overtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on pump maintenance and repair experience.
• Experience servicing wastewater pumping stations.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel and stay away occasionally.
• Strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on wastewater pumping stations.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on pumps and associated equipment.
• Installing replacement pumps, components and associated equipment.
• Commissioning pumping stations and checking systems operate correctly.
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
• Inspecting equipment, identifying defects and recommending repairs or improvements.
• Completing accurate service reports and communicating findings to customers and colleagues.
• Working independently and alongside other engineers while maintaining safe working practices.
• Travelling to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays and participation in a rotating on-call duty.
