Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Field Warranty Engineer to join our team in Gloucester. You will visit customer sites, diagnose faults on pumping systems, and carry out warranty repairs with safety at the forefront. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to read drawings, and excellent customer service.

Working hours are 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Mon–Thu and 7:30 am – 12:30 pm Fri, with UK driving duties involved and a focus on efficient, compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or Warranty Engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with pumps and water industry equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve warranty-related issues.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on pumping systems and associated equipment.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and component replacements as required.
• Commission and test pumping stations, pump sets, and control equipment.
• Produce detailed service and warranty reports following site visits.
• Liaise with customers to provide technical advice and support.
• Work closely with internal departments to manage warranty claims and corrective actions.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to products and processes.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Warranty Engineer, Service Technician, or Pump Engineer.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on pumps, pumping stations, water, wastewater, or related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of motors, control panels, inverters, and associated equipment.
• Competent in using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
