Job summary

Owen Daniels in Gloucester is seeking a Field Warranty Engineer to join our team and support warranty services across pumping systems and water industry equipment. You will visit customer sites, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The ideal candidate will have proven field service experience, strong mechanical/electrical fault-finding skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with pumps, pumping stations, water or wastewater equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and docs.
• Knowledge of motors, control panels, and inverters.
• Competent in using testing and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve warranty-related issues.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults on pumping systems and related equipment.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance and component replacements as required.
• Commission and test pumping stations, pump sets and control equipment.
• Produce detailed service and warranty reports after site visits.
• Liaise with customers to provide technical advice and support.
• Work with internal teams to manage warranty claims and corrective actions.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Identify recurring faults and suggest product/process improvements.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending customer sites, investigating warranty claims, carrying out repairs, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

• Experience working on pumps, pumping stations, water, wastewater, or related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of motors, control panels, and inverters, and associated equipment.
• Competent in using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
