Job summary

Universal Business Team is seeking a Service Engineer to cover the southern region, based in the UK. You will install, commission, service and repair pumps and pump systems, carrying out on-site visits and emergency responses with a strong focus on safety and reporting.

The role requires knowledge of water boosting tech, pump industry experience, CSCS and First Aid at Work qualifications, plus a proactive, customer-focused approach. A valid driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of water boosting technology and packaged pump stations.
• Experience in pump industry or construction-related roles.
• Active CSCS card and Confined Space Entry qualification.
• Emergency First Aid at Work certification and basic electrical training.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service through technical knowledge and brand standards.
• Install, commission, service, and repair pumps, pump systems and related equipment.
• Perform site visits and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
• Attend emergency call-outs and coordinate repairs with the team.

We are currently seeking a Service Engineer to join a rapidly growing, family-run SME. As a Service Engineer, you will be an integral part of a vibrant team. The company Headquarters is based Gloucester, and they operate within the water industry. You will be covering the south side of the M25 responding to maintenance, repairs and commissioning requests. You must have both Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service through expert product and technical knowledge, reinforcing the brand.
• Install, commission, service, and repair pumps, pump systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Conduct site visits as scheduled by the service manager, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Attend emergency call-outs, performing necessary repairs and communicating effectively with the team.
• Ensure safety at all times, producing robust risk assessments and method statements.
• Maintain professionalism and diligence, prioritizing customer satisfaction and outstanding service.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on wastewater systems, identifying and addressing faults.
• Produce detailed summaries of work, manage work effectively, and communicate progress with schedulers.
• Keep up to date with company policies and procedures, maintaining vehicle cleanliness and stock levels.
• Participate in the on-call rota to provide out-of-hours cover.

Requirements
