Job summary

APC (GB) Ltd invites applications for a Field Technician to join our Doncaster site. The role involves UK-wide travel, installing and maintaining abattoir equipment, and ensuring quality across the service team.

The successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence, GCSEs at grade C in Maths/English/Science, and experience in mechanical engineering, TIG welding, and diaphragm pumps, with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence holder.
GCSE grade C in Maths, English and Science or equivalent.
Mechanical/engineering experience in a continuous process/manufacturing environment.
Experience with TIG welding and diaphragm pumps.
Strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.
Proactive, motivated, able to work independently or in a team; good communication.

Responsibilities

Visit abattoirs across the UK to service and maintain systems and equipment, reporting issues.
Assist with installations of abattoirs.
Dismantle and reassemble mechanical components and equipment.
Diagnose faults on equipment.
Contribute to APC technician team to ensure product quality.
Investigate on-site complaints and implement corrective actions.
Keep APC and suppliers informed of issues.
Occasional UK-wide travel and overnight stays.
Perform other ad hoc duties as required.
