Radio Technician - Central Scotland

Location travel required around Central Scotland

Total Package
  • Up to £34,000 base salary
  • 5% Shift Allowance
  • Paid Overtime

  • Training for City & Guilds certifications
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to faults and perform corrective maintenance on RF systems to meet SLAs
  • Perform preventative maintenance following standards and procedures
  • Support system upgrades and modifications
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Conduct testing to ensure regulatory and industry compliance
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Supervise contractors and monitor safety practices
  • Participate in 24/7 callout rotations
  • Work safely, adhering to health and safety legislation and policies
  • Work flexibly, independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to climb structures up to 60 meters
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to personal development
Required Experience
  • Clean driving license
  • Experience with maintenance processes and standards
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of RF systems, Digital TV, Radio, Microwave links, Satellite systems, Data Networks, Telecoms
  • Understanding of RF principles and electronics
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation
  • Willingness to work away from home as needed
  • Ownership of personal development
