Job summary

AWD online is looking for a Field Technician to join our water hygiene team. You will perform practical monitoring, sampling, testing and inspections across client sites with full training for trainees. A company vehicle is included and there are clear pathways from Technician to Senior Engineer as the team grows.

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when needed.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

• Water Hygiene Monitoring and Inspections: carry out temperature monitoring and water hygiene inspections.
• Water Sampling and Testing: perform sampling and testing activities.
• Tank Cleaning and Disinfection: clean and disinfect water storage tanks.
• Showerhead and Outlet Descaling: descale showers and outlets.
• TMV Inspections and Maintenance: inspect and maintain thermostatic mixing valves.
• Closed System Monitoring: monitor closed systems as required.
• Flushing Programmes: implement flushing programs.
• Electronic Reporting and Record Keeping: complete electronic reports and records.
• Client Liaison and Customer Support: communicate professionally with clients.
• Compliance Standards and Procedures: follow ACOP L8, HSG274 and company procedures.

JOB OVERVIEW

A varied opportunity to work across client sites while developing a career in water hygiene and compliance is available, with the Field Technician carrying out practical monitoring, sampling, testing and inspections.

With two positions available, the Field Technician team will include both an experienced water hygiene professional and someone joining with transferable skills and learning the role through training and support.

The Field Technician will also complete electronic reports, maintaining records and supporting customers while working as part of a growing field team.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Field Technician include (full training will be provided to trainee candidates)

• Water Hygiene Monitoring and Inspections: Carry out temperature monitoring and water hygiene inspections

• Water Sampling and Testing: Complete water sampling and testing activities
• Tank Cleaning and Disinfection: Clean and disinfect water storage tanks

• Showerhead and Outlet Descaling: Descale showerheads and outlets
• TMV Inspections and Maintenance: Inspect and maintain thermostatic mixing valves
• Closed System Monitoring: Complete closed system monitoring activities
• Flushing Programmes: Carry out flushing programmes
• Electronic Reporting and Record Keeping: Complete accurate electronic reports and records
• Client Liaison and Customer Support: Communicate professionally with clients and provide customer support
• Compliance Standards and Procedures: Complete activities in accordance with ACOP L8, HSG274 and company procedures
