Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Field Technician in Water Recycling at Lowestoft and surrounding areas. The role involves operating jetting and CCTV equipment to identify sewerage issues, with a focus on first-time resolutions and incident response.

You will work largely on your own, with training provided for required licenses and strict adherence to safety protocols. The position offers 37 hours per week, permanent status, standby on-call and a company van for business use, and a

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and at height; HAV tests warning on weight limits

Responsibilities

  • Operate a single-person high-pressure water jetting unit and CCTV equipment to identify sewerage issues
  • Investigate and provide first-time resolutions for sewerage problems
  • Respond to incidents and carry out planned maintenance
  • Accurately record feedback from site in IT systems
  • Primarily lone working, engaging with customers and colleagues daily

You’ll tackle issues in our network including blockages, odours, flooding and incidents. You'll deliver exceptional service levels to our customers while adhering to environmental regulatory standards.As part of our standby roster, you'll be ready to tackle additional out-of-hours work, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery. Safety is paramount in all aspects of the role, and you'll be expected to uphold health and safety protocols diligently.If you are passionate about joining a team dedicated to environmental stewardship and play a hands-on role in our operations, then we’d love to hear from you!**Your duties will include:*** Operating a single person, high pressure water jetting unit which you will be trained in as well as specific CCTV equipment- helping to identify and promote repair work for any problems found on our sewerage network.* Taking ownership for investigating and offering first time resolutions for sewerage issues encountered by our customers.* Responding to incidents, and completing planned maintenance work* Accurately collating and recording all feedback from site through our IT systems.* Predominately lone working, engaging with both our internal and external customers on a daily basis.**What does it take to be a Field Technician?*** Experience or willingness to work outside in all weathers, hands on/manual experience is beneficial* Good IT literacy, with the ability to confidently use handheld devices, mobile applications and digital systems to record work activities, update job records and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.* Ability to work autonomously as well using your own initiative* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and empathetically with customers, particularly during service disruptions, incidents and potentially challenging situations.* Full driving license- having a 4.5 tonne license would be advantageous as the role will eventually require this (training will be provided if needed)* In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions.
