Main Responsibilities for the Field Technician

Reporting directly to the Environmental Monitoring Manager, you will be responsible for undertaking environmental monitoring duties, including sampling groundwater, surface waters, and landfill leachate, recording water levels, and measuring concentrations of landfill gas. 5. Support maintenance of environmental management plans for closed landfills, aligning with EMS requirements.
  6. Engage with regulators regarding closed landfill sites.
  7. Undertake other environmental monitoring duties as required.
  8. Advise site management, geologists, and estates teams on permit or trigger level breaches related to landfill gas, water quality, and water levels, to facilitate corrective actions.
  9. Support the Environmental Monitoring Manager as needed.
