Field Technician, SOCOTEC, Coventry

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Infrastructure division. SOCOTEC is the UK’s largest independent construction materials testing division, delivering seven million tests a year to more than 5,000 clients either in our laboratories or on-site. SOCOTEC offers the widest range of testing, inspection and certification services in the UK. Our sampling and testing methods are based upon current British and European standards and are accredited by UKAS.

We’re looking for a Field Technician to undertake the physical testing of concrete, soils, aggregates and bituminous mixtures both at client sites and within our laboratories. The role involves significant physical activity including manual handling of samples up to 20kg, as well as working outdoors on construction sites in all weathers.

This role involves:

• Sampling and testing of construction materials
• Collection of materials for laboratory testing
• Liaising with line manager and admin team
• Undertaking tasks in line with the company QHSE protocol
