Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is recruiting a Field Technical Engineer to support residential and commercial heat network systems across London and the Home Counties. You will work in field-based roles, servicing HIUs/HRUs, metering systems, and plant rooms, with a focus on reliability and fault diagnosis.

The role offers progression, ongoing training, and exposure to a range of technologies. A full UK driving licence is required and you will travel across the designated region to service sites.

Qualifications

• Strong plumbing and heating experience.
• Experience servicing HIUs/HRUs.
• Confidence working within plant rooms.
• Basic electrical fault-finding skills.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and planned maintenance of HIUs/HRUs; fault finding and diagnostics; replacements and upgrades; reactive repairs.
• Metering and prepayment systems: meter maintenance and replacements; installing prepayment systems; upgrading metering infrastructure.
• Plant room maintenance: pumps, expansion vessels, pressurisation units, filters, inline filters; general maintenance and fault finding.
