Job summary

Insite Energy Limited seeks an HIU Engineer to install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot heat network equipment in developments and customers’ homes. The role includes HIUs, valves, meters and PAYG devices within central heat and cooling networks, often in occupied properties and new builds.

This field-based role covers London and surrounding counties; 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with a company van and KPI bonus. A strong focus on safety, customer service and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification of NVQ level 2, or equivalent, in plumbing and heating.
• Certified in 18th edition domestic wiring (not essential, training can be provided).
• CSCS card - Essential.
• SMSTS or H&S qualification - desirable.
• First aid trained – desirable.
• Full driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of HIUs, valves, meters, PAYG devices and metering systems.
• Fault diagnosis and remedy on in-property assets connected to central heat and cooling networks.
• Liaise with site staff, main contractors and sub-contractors; work on occupied homes and in plantrooms.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and assist with new system installations and commissioning.
