Job summary

CATL is seeking an on-site Operations & Maintenance Engineer to lead daily inspection and maintenance of energy storage systems across PCS, BMS, EMS, and related equipment. You will ensure safe, reliable operation and coordinate with field teams to resolve issues promptly.

The role requires strong English communication, 3+ years of relevant experience, and a proactive, safety-conscious mindset. You will report to the site operations team and collaborate with customers and partners to uphold high

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or above.
Skills: Experience in O&M and maintenance of large-scale energy storage projects preferred.
Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Languages: Fluent in English, good at Spanish is a plus.
Others: Strong coordination, communication, and logical thinking; highly responsible and proactive.

Responsibilities

On-site Equipment Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct daily inspections, spot checks, and preventive maintenance on energy storage systems (PCS, BMS, EMS, battery clusters, transformers, switchgear, fire suppression systems), ensuring safe and stable operation.
Fault Diagnosis & Emergency Response: Respond to fault alarms, perform on-site localization and root-cause analysis, and coordinate with technical teams to minimize downtime.
Equipment Commissioning Support: Coordinate resources for post-installation commissioning, grid-connection testing, trial operation, and final acceptance.
O&M Data Management & Reporting: Collect and organize data, analyze health status, propose improvements, and produce regular O&M reports.
On-site Safety Management & Customer Communication: Enforce safety procedures, manage risk control and work permits, and maintain communication with customers.
In charge of inspection, maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis of new energy vehicles; testing and repairs on the power battery, drive motor, and control systems.
