Job summary

Cortech Talent Solutions Ltd is seeking a site-based engineer to commission and monitor waste-to-fuel systems across Northampton and the Midlands. You will handle testing on site, perform simple troubleshooting and build knowledge through hands-on work in sustainability projects.

The role requires willingness to travel, stay away from home as needed, and maintain strict health and safety protocols while delivering consistent performance improvements for clients.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ hands-on or technical experience with machinery.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to follow processes and work under guidance.
• Strong communication skills for customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Commission and optimise systems until waste is consistently transformed.
• Support testing and ongoing development work on customer sites and in the Trowbridge office.
• Train on-site operatives on how to load and empty the system.
• Update maintenance and health & safety documents.
• Report updates regularly to wider team, including data capture and risks.
• Support installation of new systems as required.
• Carry out basic mechanical repairs and simple troubleshooting.
• Work with customers to ensure system is operated effectively at all times.
