About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Field Service Technician to join our UK service team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or graduate candidate to gain hands-on experience in the life sciences industry. You will be responsible for on-site pipette calibration, maintenance, and repair at customer locations such as universities, research institutes, and industrial laboratories. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites to perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair of single and multi-channel pipettes.
  • Use specialized tools and software to ensure pipettes meet strict calibration standards.
  • Accurately document service activities using internal systems.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about service status and technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipette performance issues independently or as part of a team.
  • Interpret technical diagrams and follow standard operating procedures.
About You
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel frequently and stay overnight (up to 50%).
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule.
  • Mechanically inclined with good manual dexterity.
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn.

Location: Field-based (travel required)

Salary: £27,000–£29,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
