Job summary

Rubix is seeking a maintenance-focused engineer to support a 24/7 service framework in Grimsby. You will fault find, identify defects, and rectify worn components while applying electrical testing to assess AC and DC parts.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge and pump experience (hot oil and water) with basic hydraulics, and a readiness to work on-site or in workshops as needed. Flexibility for demanding hours, call-out duties, and a safety-first approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Fault find and rectify defects and worn components.
• Electrical testing to assess AC/DC components.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge for reclamation and reverse engineering.
• Pumps experience including hot oil and water; basic hydraulics.
• Willing to work to a 24/7 service rota and on-site/workshop as required.

Responsibilities

• Be flexible to work the hours required in a demanding 24/7 environment.
• Participate in call-out rota as needed.
• Work on site in addition to the workshop when required (site experience advantageous).
• Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do.
• Be capable of working with a team and on your own initiative.
