Rubix is seeking a maintenance-focused engineer to support a 24/7 service framework in Grimsby. You will fault find, identify defects, and rectify worn components while applying electrical testing to assess AC and DC parts.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge and pump experience (hot oil and water) with basic hydraulics, and a readiness to work on-site or in workshops as needed. Flexibility for demanding hours, call-out duties, and a safety-first approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Fault find and rectify defects and worn components.
• Electrical testing to assess AC/DC components.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge for reclamation and reverse engineering.
• Pumps experience including hot oil and water; basic hydraulics.
• Willing to work to a 24/7 service rota and on-site/workshop as required.

About the Role:

• You will have the ability to fault find and identify and rectify defects and worn / damaged components
• Have as a minimum basic electrical testing capability to assess electrical condition of AC & DC components
• Have strong mechanical engineering knowledge to identify and rectify faulty and worn / damaged components and understand reclamation techniques and reverse engineering options
• Pump experience namely hot oil, water, also basic hydraulic knowledge

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

• You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service orientated environment
• Participate in call out rota as required
• You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable)
