Job Description: Clean Harbors in Lackawanna, NY is seeking a Field Services Technician I to join our safety-conscious team. This role involves active fieldwork responsible for tasks related to hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prioritize health and safety by following policies and acting safely.
• Perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate equipment and tools, including vibration-producing tools.
• Use PPE properly, including respirators and skin protection.
• Work in various weather conditions and environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
• Assist in sampling activities, calibration of meters, and inspection of drums.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste safely.
• Comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Operate vehicles according to DOT and local requirements.
• Attend safety meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.

Required Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as described.
• Willingness to be on-call for emergencies, including weekends and holidays.
• Successful completion of background check, drug test, and physical exam as required.
• Compliance with OSHA respiratory standards if respirators are needed.

Additional Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous relevant labor experience.
