Job summary

Rubix is seeking a capable Mobile Service Technician to repair, install and troubleshoot industrial air compressors across customer sites in the UK. You will work on rotary screw, reciprocating, centrifugal and other compressor types to keep customer plants running smoothly.

The role covers installation, commissioning, maintenance, diagnostics and safety compliance. Strong mechanical/electrical skills, PLCs/sensors know-how and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Must know different compressor types and how they operate.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, sensors and control systems.
• Hands-on pipe work experience.
• Strong problem solving and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and install compressors and related systems.
• Ensure proper alignment, electrical connections and safety compliance.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns.
• Identify faults using diagnostic tools and repair components.
• Maintain service records and provide performance reports.
• Follow safety regulations and conduct risk assessments.
