Job Description:

Field Service Technician

Based in Welwyn Garden City AL7 – full UK driving licence essential.

Salary: £13.31 per hour / £27,684.80 based on a 40-hour week + additional on-call payment.

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

This role supports both the onsite workshop and field service engineers, including being on the out-of-hours on-call rota.

The workshop responsibilities include repairs, reconditioning of wheelchairs, and submitting quotes.

The field service engineer's role involves repairs and maintenance of wheelchairs at clients’ homes.

Skills and Qualifications required:

• General workshop knowledge
• Basic mechanical skills
• Flexible approach to changing working conditions

Physical demands:

• Moving and handling equipment and accessories per guidelines
• Standing at a workbench
• Kneeling/crouching

Must work well in a fast-paced environment, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with team members and clients at home.

Full UK driving license required.
