Altera Recruitment Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across the Midlands, South Wales and the South Coast. You will be trained to service and maintain machines, with the opportunity for hands-on work and travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, maintenance, engineering, facilities, manufacturing or a customer-facing role.
• Practical mechanical, electrical or basic engineering knowledge; full training provided.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Reliable, organised and hardworking with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake regular UK travel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, routine maintenance, basic fault finding and minor repairs at customer sites.
• Complete service records, paperwork and job documentation accurately, reporting equipment faults and repair requirements promptly.
• Follow customer site rules, health and safety procedures and company working practices at all times.
• Provide a professional and courteous service while representing the business on customer premises.
• Support collections, deliveries, equipment preparation and other practical duties when required.

Field Service Technician

Altera Recruitment Group is supporting an innovative engineering business in the appointment of a Field Service Technician to support customers across the Midlands, South Wales and the South Coast.

This position does not require someone with extensive mechanical/electrical experience, as full training will be provided to service and maintain the machines. If you have prior experience in a hands-on position and are able to drive a large van, you will be considered.

The Field Service Technician will play an important role in keeping equipment operating reliably while providing a professional service and building strong relationships with customers.
