Altera Recruitment Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the Midlands, South Wales and the South Coast. Based from Maidenhead, the role involves regular travel and maintaining equipment to ensure reliability.

The successful candidate will work independently on the road, build strong customer relationships and represent the business professionally while adhering to safety practices and site rules.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, maintenance or engineering roles.
• Practical mechanical/electrical knowledge desirable; training provided.
• Strong problem solving and the ability to work independently.
• Reliable, organised, detail oriented and keen to learn.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, routine maintenance, basic fault finding and minor repairs at customer sites.
• Complete service records and documentation accurately, reporting faults promptly.
• Follow customer site rules, health and safety procedures and working practices.
• Provide a professional and courteous service on customer premises.
• Support collections, deliveries and other practical duties as required.
