Job summary

Future Engineering is seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer to install and commission packaging machinery at customer sites across the UK. You will take machines from workshop to site, wiring, testing and integrating with production lines, followed by customer trials and training.

The role involves mechanical, electrical and pneumatic work, with normal travel across the UK and occasional overseas assignments. A company vehicle is provided with private fuel and a strong progression path.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, commissioning or maintaining industrial machinery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission specialist packaging machinery at customer sites across the UK.
• Assemble and integrate machinery with existing production lines.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and pneumatic connections during installations.
• Test and commission machinery and handover to the customer.
• Provide customer training on operation and maintenance.
• Travel regularly across the UK with occasional overseas travel.
