Job summary

Selwood is recruiting a Mobile Fitter for our Nottingham branch, covering the surrounding region. You will perform mechanical pump maintenance at customer sites and in-branch tasks, joining a standby rota with overtime opportunities.

The role requires a hands-on mechanical background, a full UK driving licence, and a commitment to safety and customer service. Training and career progression are encouraged within the pump industry.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working with engines or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience in a plant environment, on site with customers and in a workshop is beneficial.
• Able to listen, take on board information and translate to practical solutions.
• Willingness to grow in the role and undertake training opportunities.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less).

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical pump maintenance at customer sites and at the branch.
• Work safely with emphasis on PPE requirements.
• Obtain signatures/names from sites to streamline task processing.
• Maintain housekeeping in work areas and vehicles.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports for safety.
• Perform tasks as instructed in a timely manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
