The Field Service Mechanical Fitter travels to Power Plants in the UK and worldwide, supporting internal and external customers with installation, stripdown, inspection, maintenance activities, and reassembly of power units and their auxiliaries on units ranging from 2MW to 2000MW. World-class execution is expected, done safely, on budget, with the right quality.
This position requires technical competence in reading and interpreting engineering documents, technical & quality instructions, and engineering drawings. A thorough knowledge of steam turbines and generator technology is essential.

Main Responsibilities
- Follow appropriate Arabelle Solutions policies, procedures, and complete necessary documentation.
- Provide technical support for installation and preventative/corrective maintenance on customer equipment, maintaining all models of specific equipment within one or more modalities in the assigned area.
- Evaluate customer equipment issues and implement appropriate repairs.
- Interpret engineering drawings.
- Maintain communication with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, fostering strong customer relations and satisfaction.
- Work as part of a local team to deliver efficient service across all accounts within the area.
- Develop strong customer relationships and serve as an interface between the customer and Arabelle Solutions.
- Comply with integrity and compliance guidelines, promote a safe working environment, and ensure adherence to EHS policies.
- Understand all aspects of mechanical engineering measuring techniques to high tolerances.
- Work under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules.
- Possess experience in large turbine generator overhaul, large turbine & generator rotors, and generator hydrogen seal dismantling/assembly.
- Have experience in bearing removal/exchange (approx. 4-inch to 21-inch diameter), concentricity & alignments, auxiliaries & pumps.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be prepared for extensive travel to and from projects and field assignments.
Basic Qualifications and Experience- Recognized apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent.
- City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Studies.
- Extensive knowledge of large rotating & static machinery.
Desired Skills and Experience- Demonstrates individual and team skills.
- Experience and training on OEM equipment such as Alstom or Siemens is preferred.
- Fluent in English.
