Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Multiskilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Sunderland, a global company specializing in piping systems for various industries. They operate worldwide with multiple branches, providing a full range of products and services. The company emphasizes reliability and environmental sustainability. With a solid order book and a long-standing client relationship, they offer stable roles.

Due to increased workload, they are looking for a multiskilled mechanical fitter to join their team.

THE ROLE

• Overhaul and repair Graco/Mastic/Sealant Pumps
• Assemble and install mechanical components
• Clean, rebuild pumps, and assess repairs needed
• Manufacture hoses; training provided
• Use hand and power tools to strip and reassemble pumps and hoses
• Fabrication and welding skills are advantageous
• Check assembly for alignment, dimensions, and quality
• Assist with production and fabrication of assemblies
• Follow company H&S policies and safety rules

THE PERSON

• Time-served with an engineering background or qualifications
• Owns personal hand tools; power tools available on-site
• Available to work overtime and weekends (essential)
• Full UK driving license
• Good communication skills
• Understanding of engineering drawings and standards
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
