Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking an experienced Service Supervisor for our Field Service team in Australia. This hands-on leadership role will supervise and coordinate service and maintenance activities across customer sites and workshop operations, leading Mechanical and Screen Service teams to deliver safe, efficient results.

The ideal candidate will have trade qualifications and mining-industry supervision experience, with a hands-on approach and a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related mechanical discipline.
• Experience supervising a site service or maintenance team within the mining industry.
• Demonstrated experience leading tradespeople in field service, maintenance or shutdown environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planned and unplanned service and maintenance activities across customer sites and workshop operations.
• Supervise Mechanical and Screen Service teams, ensuring safe execution, productivity and effective utilisation of resources.
• Demonstrate visible safety leadership through Safety Leadership Tours, Toolbox Talks and active participation in safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, procedures, standards and applicable legislation.
• Plan and allocate work to Service Technicians, balancing changing priorities, customer requirements and available resources.
• Monitor daily maintenance activities and ensure work is completed efficiently, safely and to the required quality standards.
• Build an engaged and collaborative team culture based on trust, accountability and teamwork.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide practical solutions to customer requirements.
