Job summary

Escape Recruitment is partnering with an established engineering business to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for its field-based service team in Swindon and across the UK. You will install, commission, service and fault-find on specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites, with regular overnight stays.

We offer a competitive salary 35,000–38,000 with an achievable 55,000 OTE, plus annual bonus, overnight allowances and a full benefits package including pension and life assurance.

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship.
• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance experience.
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment on customer sites.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs.
• Mechanical fault finding and diagnosis.
• Conducting site inspections and producing survey reports.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Working closely with customers and colleagues to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
• Travelling throughout the UK, including regular overnight stays.
• Supporting workshop activities when required.

Are you a Mechanical Engineer / Field Service Fitter who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving and travelling to customer sites?

Escape Recruitment is working with an established engineering business that is looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of technically interesting projects while receiving ongoing training and genuine long-term career development.

This role offers plenty of variety, with time spent installing, commissioning, servicing and fault finding on specialist mechanical equipment at customer sites throughout the UK.

The Role

• Installing and commissioning mechanical equipment on customer sites
