Rapiscan Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and maintain X-ray, CT, Checkpoint, and Trace systems across Northern Ireland, Ireland, and the UK. You will perform maintenance, respond to service calls, and provide technical support to distributors and customers.

The role requires strong field‑service experience, an electrical/engineering background, PLC familiarity, and the ability to travel extensively, including two-week assignments when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong background in field service engineering and hands-on support of electrical/mechanical systems.
• Minimum 4–5 years of relevant field experience.
• Electrical/Engineering qualification, or 2–3 years in field service engineering.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues in high-end systems.
• Experience with X-ray or CT systems is highly advantageous; PLC programming familiarity is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil, hydraulic, electronic, or HV systems; willingness to travel extensively.

Responsabilités

• Install, commission, and provide ongoing support for Rapiscan systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; complete service reports and documentation.
• Respond to service call-outs and support sites across Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Logistics, Engineering, and QA to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Provide technical input during customer demonstrations or feedback sessions.
