Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a UPS Service Engineer to support customers across the UK, performing startup, maintenance, and repairs on UPS systems. The role requires a valid UK driving license and frequent travel to client sites, with full training provided in our academy.

You will coordinate with service teams, project managers and partners while delivering high quality technical support and field service excellence. A strong safety mindset and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience within UPS industry or similar.
• Professional technical bachelor or equivalent by experience.
• Knowledge of electricity/electronics.
• Safety mindset.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and being computer literate.
• Good understanding of Schneider Electric.

Responsibilities

• Perform Start-up/Commissioning, Preventive Maintenance and Corrective/Unscheduled Maintenance on all Schneider Electric Secure Power UPS equipment.
• Participate and lead in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform consulting services at customer sites as well as over the phone.
• Work with customers, contractors, service partners, other members of the team, Sales Partners, Tech Support, and Manager to resolve escalated problems.
• Document all required information for each site visit performed.
• Manage installation projects as well as unit replacement when necessary.
• Educate Schneider Electric customers on basic operation of their equipment. Inform customers of issues which they may have experience with their equipment in a way which is beneficial to the customer as well as Schneider Electric.
• Must comply with all safety policies, practices, procedures, and cybersecurity.
• 7x24 Field Service availability when assigned.
• Proactively identify and communicate onsite opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or solutions that enhance customer operations and align with Schneider Electric offerings.
