Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, part of OSI Systems, Inc., is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and support advanced screening and detection systems across UK customer sites. Based in the Midlands region, you will travel to customer sites to install, configure, and commission equipment while delivering exceptional service.

You will diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, electronic, software and networking domains, perform upgrades, and provide on-site training and technical support

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing engineering, service or maintenance roles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with electronic and computer-based systems.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, software configuration and basic networking.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission advanced screening and detection systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical, electronic, software and networking areas.
• Provide professional technical support to customers and stakeholders.
• Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately.
• Participate in an on-call and standby rota.
• Deliver operator and technical training when required.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations.
