Job summary

Rapiscan Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our RTT, CT, Checkpoint, BPI and Trace product portfolio across customer sites throughout the UK. Based in the Midlands, you will install, configure and commission advanced screening systems, perform preventative maintenance and diagnose faults across electrical, electronic, and networking domains.

You will deliver operator and technical training, contribute to site surveys and maintenance records, and participate in an on-call rota

Qualifications

• Customer-facing engineering, service or maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with electronic and computer-based systems.
• Knowledge of PC hardware, software configuration and basic networking.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
• Engineering qualification such as BTEC, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission advanced screening and detection systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, electronic, software and networking faults.
• Provide professional technical support to customers and stakeholders.
• Complete service documentation and maintenance records accurately.
• Participate in an on-call and standby rota.
• Deliver operator and technical training when required.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical recommendations.
