Job summary

Edina, a leading provider of low-carbon power generation and battery storage solutions, is seeking an Operations Engineer to support the rebuild team. You will service gas and diesel engines, perform fault finding, plan maintenance, and travel to customer sites across Great Britain.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on power generation equipment.
• Planning maintenance, parts and resources to ensure efficient repairs.
• Working on customer sites across Great Britain.
• Participating in an on-call rota and attending breakdowns.
• Completing service reports and maintaining health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on power generation equipment
• Planning maintenance, parts and resources to ensure efficient repairs

Background Required:

• Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification (ONC/HNC, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering role
• Strong knowledge of gas and/or diesel engines
• Ability to work independently and deliver effective technical solutions
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach to travel, working away from home for up to two weeks at a time, including weekends and out-of-hours work

Desirable:

• Gas Safe qualification
• Health and safety qualification and valid CSCS card
• Knowledge of control systems, engine controllers and PLCs
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
