Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and diagnose customer equipment. You will work with engineering and service teams, building strong customer relationships while maintaining safety and high standards.

You will often work independently and with a supportive team, receiving training as you grow in the role and coordinating with supervisors to resolve technical issues. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service engineering or technical environment.
• A relevant technical qualification or practical experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to organise your workload and manage your time effectively.
• A positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office, Excel).
• Commercial awareness and confidence discussing technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing, and repairing air compressors, pipework, and related equipment.
• Following manufacturer guidelines, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs using appropriate tools and technical knowledge.
• Communicating clearly with customers about work carried out, issues identified, and recommendations.
• Demonstrating equipment operation where required.
• Working closely with the Field Service Supervisor, Service Administrator, and Lead Engineer to coordinate jobs and resolve technical issues.
• Keeping accurate service records and identifying parts required for repairs.
• Feeding back customer insights and suggestions to help improve our products and services.
• Keeping up to date with technical bulletins and engineering updates.
