Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd seeks a Service Engineer - Mechanical to join a market-leading supplier of automated processing solutions. Based in Northampton with nationwide UK travel, you will service, inspect, and maintain high-speed conveyor systems on-site at customer sites.

The role offers training, a company van, overtime, pension, 25 days holiday, and progression opportunities. NVQ level 3 or equivalent is preferred, with strong fault finding and hands-on mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills e.g. gears, bearings, shafts and belts.
• Mechanically qualified, at least to NVQ level 3.
• Excellent fault finding and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with material handling equipment and conveyors is beneficial.
• Autonomous and travel-heavy role with broad customer-site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites and service/ppm high-speed conveyor systems.
• Provide onsite technical support, troubleshooting and repair.
• Conduct onsite training for customers.
• Prepare report sheets with timely, detailed information.
• Work on vertical elevating equipment such as pallet hoists, boxlifters, bucket elevators.
• Cover the UK with regular stays away and some weekend/night work.
