Field Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias) - Permanent - Hounslow - £40,000-£45,000

Opportunity: We are looking for a Field Maintenance Engineer (with a company van) to join our esteemed team at our Heathrow workshop. This role involves hands-on work at various locations, including occasional travel to other UK airports. Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform inspections on lifting equipment and tooling.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
3. Manage collection and delivery of customer equipment across our network.
4. Collaborate within our engineering team.
5. Conduct equipment surveys to identify faults and produce reports.
6. Provide support at different airports or UK sites as required.
7. Communicate effectively with the Operations Team to ensure smooth job execution.

What We Seek in You:

• Qualified with a recognized inspection body or engineering institution; LEEA qualification is a must in one or more of the following skill sets:
• LOLER/lifting equipment inspections
• PSSR inspections
• Overhead crane inspections
• Goods & PAX lift inspections
• Calibration experience (beneficial)

Additional requirements:

• Company van and tooling provided, plus ongoing training.
• Flexible working hours (Monday-Friday), occasional work away from home or weekends.
• A proactive attitude and can-do approach.
• Ideally, a formal engineering or related qualification.
• Experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in IT, including MS Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptable to all levels of interaction.
