Job Introduction
Maintenance Technician (Electrical / Multi-skill)
Location: GSK HQ
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week
About the Role
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias and a proactive approach? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our on-site engineering team at GSK HQ in London. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a broad range of electrical and mechanical building services systems, helping ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including LV systems, lighting, BMS, and power distribution.
- Support the maintenance of mechanical systems such as boilers, pumps, AHUs, and sanitary ware where competent.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for out-of-hours response.
- Work in line with the Permit to Work system and all relevant health and safety standards.
- Accurately log and update tasks using CAFM/IT systems and handheld devices.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and report any issues.
- Support energy-saving initiatives and contribute to compliance and performance reviews.
Candidate Profile
- HND, NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant electrical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical building services and plant engineering.
- Sound understanding of mechanical systems.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexible and able to travel to support other sites when required.
- Previous AP/CP designation (LV, Working at Heights) is preferred but not essential.
