Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join a family-run manufacturer based in Worcester. You will install, service and repair automotive recycling equipment across the UK and Ireland, travelling to sites with weekly stock collection from the office.

Training on compressors and vehicle lifts will be provided, and full UK driving licence is required. The role is 95% field-based with a 7:30–17:30 schedule from Monday to Thursday; a company van, travel allowances and overtime

Qualifications

• Experience in a field-based mechanical engineering role.
• Good hydraulic knowledge and diagnostic abilities.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain and repair automotive recycling equipment.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Travel to sites across the UK and Ireland, with weekly stock collection from the office.
• Provide training on products; travel 95% of the time, Monday to Thursday, 7:30–17:30.

Are you a Field Service Engineer from a mechanical background, with good hydraulic knowledge, looking to join a family-run manufacturer that provides excellent training and regular travel across the UK?

The company on offer specialise in the manufacture, installation and service of automotive recycling equipment. This includes depollution systems and dismantling equipment.

Your role will be 95% field based, travelling to sites across the UK and Ireland. You will install, service, maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical recycling equipment. Travel to office once a week will be required to collect stock.

Hotels and meal allowances will be provided where needed. Full training on all products will be given, additionally training on compressors and vehicle lifts can be arranged.

The suitable candidate will be a Mobile Engineer, who is proficient in mechanical and hydraulic systems.

The Role

• Installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of automotive recycling equipment
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Travelling to sites across the UK and Ireland
• Attending office once a week to collect stock
• Monday to Thursday, 7:30 - 5:30

The Person

• Background in mechanical field-based engineering
