Job Title: Managed Print Service Field Engineer

Location: St Asaph, Wales

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Company van provided

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Working Hours: 5 days a week, 9am to 5.30pm

Position Overview:

We are currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join our managed print team, based at OES, St Asaph, North Wales. This is a full-time role, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Service Delivery:

  • Work closely with our experienced Service Team to respond to client requests promptly and within set SLA response times.
  • Provide high-quality service levels to clients at all times.
  • Carry out repairs on reported devices, provide technical support, and perform regular scheduled maintenance calls.
  • Keep up to date with all manufacturer service bulletins.
  • Maintain responsibility for managing stock, including toner supplies and spare parts.
  • Cover the North West region, ensuring efficient and timely service delivery.

Technical Expertise:

  • Diagnose and solve technical issues with managed print devices, including mechanical and IT-related problems.
  • Stay informed on device models such as Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp, ensuring familiarity with a wide range of products.
  • Assist with complex installations and support IT issues related to print devices.

Teamwork and Communication:

  • Work effectively as part of a successful team, ensuring strong collaboration and information sharing.
  • Provide excellent customer communication, ensuring clients are kept informed throughout the service process.
  • Maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach, reflecting the core values of OES in all customer interactions.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Manage time effectively, balancing workload and priorities to ensure a fast-paced environment is maintained.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and service level agreements.
  • Report any recurring issues or opportunities for service improvement to the Managed Print Services Manager.

About You:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a field-based engineer in print/reprographics.
  • Familiarity with Konica Minolta, Lexmark, and Sharp devices preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and IT literacy skills.
  • Excellent customer communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
