Base pay range
As part of the Service Department, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for break fix, maintaining and installing Bizerba equipment to our customer base. With a proven technical background preferably supported by a technical qualification, you will liaise directly with customers ensuring you deliver an efficient professional service.
Role And Requirements
- Service, install and fix a wide range of weighing and inspection equipment, including static scales, automatic check weighing, label systems, metal detection, X-RAY, and vision inspection.
- Investigate complex technical issues such as electrical/mechanical breakdowns and network-related problems.
- Provide customer training on equipment.
- Manage and maintain effective stock levels of parts needed for repairs.
- Project a professional image of the department and company to both internal and external customers. Uniform provided.
- Maintain company vehicle in a clean and organized manner, ensuring all maintenance requirements are met.
- Maintain a library of backups for customers.
- Keep all company tools in good order, including hand tools, ladders, laptops, etc.
- Attend all required training courses and ensure H & S training is up to date.
- Adhere to policies related to Health and Safety and Quality Management.
- Maintain calibrated weights and ensure compliance.
- When calibrating/verifying equipment, meet all legal standards and work to the highest standards.
- Obtain all relevant qualifications deemed necessary by Bizerba for daily duties.
- Write reports on incidents/calls to assist the Line manager.
- Participate in out-of-hours work when required.
- Complete all administrative tasks timely and to standards.
- Hold a full, valid UK driving license.
- Possess a valid Safety Passport/ECS or equivalent.
- Work to company KPIs & SLA’s.
- Be prepared for overnight stays for training or tasks as needed.
- Participate in rollout and refit activities as required.
- Attend head office as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by your line manager or senior management.
