Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and repair specialist heavy machinery across the North West. You will diagnose faults, perform servicing, and work on hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems at customer sites.

The role is field-based with a company vehicle, offering independent work and support from a technical and parts team. Experience with agricultural, forestry, tractors, excavators or heavy plant is desirable.

We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to support a range of specialist heavy machinery and equipment across the North West.

This is a proper hands-on engineering role. You'll be out at customer sites, diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing and repairs and keeping technically advanced machinery doing what it was built to do.

You’ll work largely independently, with the backing of an experienced technical and parts team when you need it.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing specialist mobile machinery
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Attending breakdowns at customer sites
• Carrying out planned servicing and preventative maintenance
• Repairing and setting up hydraulic equipment and attachments
• Providing customers with practical technical support
• Managing your own workload across the North West

What We're Looking For

The exact machinery you've worked on isn't critical.

We’d particularly like to hear from engineers with experience of:

• Agricultural machinery
• Tractors and farm equipment
• Forestry machinery
• Excavators and construction plant
• Heavy mobile equipment
• Hydraulic machinery

You’ll need to be comfortable fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and, importantly, be the sort of engineer who enjoys working things out rather than simply swapping parts.
