Recruit4staff are representing a well-established material handling solutions provider in their search for a Field Service Engineer to work across the North West. Attending customer sites to service, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.

The role involves preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work, diagnosing mechanical, electrical and software faults.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance on forklift and material handling equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
• Mechanical and electrical service and maintenance experience.
• Excellent ICT skills with strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to service, maintain and repair forklifts and material handling equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software faults.
• Provide technical support and after-sales assistance as required.

Recruit4staff are representing a well-established material handling solutions provider in their search for a Field Service Engineer to work across the North West.

Job Role:

Attending customer sites to carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment. The role involves both preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown work, including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software faults. You will also provide technical support and after-sales assistance to customers as required.

Job Details:

• Pay: Up to £36,000 per annum
• Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, 8:30am - 5pm
• Duration: Permanent
• Benefits:

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting ability
• Mechanical and electrical service and maintenance experience
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance work
• Good ICT skills with strong written and verbal communication
• Excellent customer service skills

Essential Qualifications:

• C&G/NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Driving licence

Desired Qualifications:

• Pyroban (ATEX) rated trucks qualification
• FLT licence
• Manufacturer training (Linde, Toyota, Nissan, Combilift, etc.)
• Electrical Engineering qualifications
