Job summary

Domex is seeking a qualified Gas Engineer to cover parts of London and Essex, joining our Kitchen Appliance Repair team. The role focuses on repairing gas and dual‑fuel cooking appliances and requires CCN1 and CKR1 qualifications, with training to develop into an expert gas cooking appliance engineer, including cross‑training on laundry and/or refrigeration.

You will perform diagnostics and servicing in customers' homes across N, E, IG and RM postcodes, manage your day via a mobile app, and

\"Domex are seeking a qualified Gas Engineer to cover parts of London and Essex (N, E, IG and RM postcodes). The role is permanent, full time (although we are open to considering part time) and will join our Kitchen Appliance Repair team.\"

The role is focused on the repair of gas and dual-fuel cooking appliances. We are specifically seeking candidates who hold CCN1 and CKR1 qualifications. If you have a solid technical foundation, we will provide comprehensive training to help you develop into an expert Gas Cooking Appliance Engineer, and cross-training on Laundry and/or Refrigeration appliances.

What will your responsibilities be in this role?

• Performing diagnostic and servicing repairs on kitchen appliances in customers' homes, specifically cooking appliances (gas, electric, and dual fuel).


• Visiting customers across N, E, IG and RM postcodes, zoned on a daily basis.


• Managing your day using a user-friendly mobile app, including parts intake, returns, technical information, and job completion.


• Maintaining communication with both customers and the office, providing updates on ongoing repairs, and addressing issues.

What skills and experience do you need?

• CCN1 and CKR1 qualified.


• Possess a foundation level understanding of electrical principles.


• Experience in a hands-on trade, e.g. Service Engineer, Gas Engineer, Electrician, Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or Handyman.


• A valid manual driving licence is required to travel between customer homes.


• A customer-centric approach focusing on delivering excellent service and meeting customer needs.


• Comfortable working with tools and enjoy tackling hands‑on tasks.


• Problem solving skills, with a passion for diagnosing faults and fixing technical issues.
