Job summary

Linde Material Handling is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Edinburgh and Livingston, UK. You will diagnose, repair and preventively maintain our forklift trucks and warehouse equipment across customer sites.

The role involves hands-on mechanical work, travelling to customer locations, and using IT tools to log work and place orders. A full UK driving licence is required, NVQ3 preferred, and there are options for 40- or 45-hour weeks with OT and shift premiums.

Qualifications

• Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers, particularly forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians.
• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
• Comfortable using IT equipment to record and place orders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to keep equipment at peak efficiency.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and essential check-ups.
• Service Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at customer sites.
• Travel to various customer locations and build strong customer relationships.
