Job summary

Bolt Technical is hiring a Field Service Engineer in the South East/Milton Keynes area to join our client’s growing team. You will service food processing machinery, ensuring safety, reliability and customer satisfaction in a regional footprint.

The role is Monday–Friday with minimal nights away from home. The ideal candidate has an electro-mechanical background, PLC familiarity, a full UK driving licence, and strong problem-solving and communication skills to provide on-site expertise and

Qualifications

• Qualified multi-skilled engineer with experience in FMCG or food production sectors.
• Electro-mechanical background (apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and motor control systems.
• Experience with PLCs and Ladder Logic is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Full, valid UK driving licence required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused, 'can-do' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, repair, and maintain food processing and packaging machinery.
• Ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably at all times.
• Provide on-site support and technical expertise to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of service, maintenance, and repairs.

Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: South East Region - Milton Keynes and surrounding

Salary: £45,000 per annum + Door to Door Pay + Overtime and Enhancements - OTE of c£65,000 per annum + Company Car

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm + Optional Overtime - no weekend work or night shifts.

You’ll play a key role in delivering technical excellence and ensuring that equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction are consistently upheld.

• Competitive basic salary of £45,000 per annum - OTE of circa £65,000
