Job summary

We are MARCH®. A leading provider of critical engineering services, search for an experienced Service Engineer to diagnose faults, maintain and repair compressed air systems in the UK.

You’ll work autonomously in the field, handling installations, commissioning and on-site servicing with a strong focus on reliability and customer satisfaction. The role involves servicing a range of equipment, from pumps to motors and gearboxes, and requires good problem-solving skills, a clean driving licence

Qualifications

• Experience on pumps, rotating equipment and compressors.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or related.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Electrical fault-finding experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance docs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on compressed air systems and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults with a systematic approach.
• Investigate failures and identify root causes to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance at customer sites.
• Inspect pumps, motors, compressors, blowers, valves and rotating equipment.
• Complete installations, upgrades and commissioning works.
• Accurately complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to customers.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety procedures.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues.
