Job summary

adi Group is seeking a skilled Compressed Air Engineer based mainly in the Midlands with nationwide coverage. You will service, repair, and install oil-flooded and oil-free systems, performing mechanical and electrical fault finding and diagnostics while delivering excellent customer service.

Ideal candidates will have OEM training, electrical qualifications, and experience with oil-free compressors and N₂/O₂ systems. Travel and independent work are required; a safety‑first approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar compressed air engineering role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage travel.
• F‑Gas certification is advantageous.
• OEM training and electrical qualifications.
• Experience with oil-free compressors is beneficial.
• Familiar with N₂/O₂ generation systems, dryers or central control systems.
• Computer literacy for paperless reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing oil-flooded and oil‑free compressed air systems.
• Conducting accurate mechanical and electrical fault‑finding and diagnostics.
• Delivering exceptional customer service while developing and maintaining long‑term client relationships.
• Ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship are consistently met.
• Completing all service reports and documentation accurately and within required timescales.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, upselling and service growth.
• Working collaboratively with the wider service and management teams to deliver service excellence.
