Job summary

Staffbase Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a Field Service Engineer for a leading CNC woodworking machinery distributor. The role is home based with responsibility for installation, service and repair across the UK, reporting to the service manager.

You will be a multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias, holding NVQ3, HNC in electrical engineering or 17th/18th edition and strong customer service skills. Mon-Fri, 40 hours with OT; occasional nights away.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications such as NVQ3, HNC in electrical engineering.
• Experience as field service engineer with automated/semi-automated machinery.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical installations, machine fault find and repair.
• Motor, servo, 415V and 24V circuits; read electrical schematics.
• Contactors, sensors, relays, switches, control panels and wiring.
• PLC fault find and repair; machine installation and commissioning.
• Mechanical maintenance and component replacement on machinery.
