Job summary

Briggs Equipment Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer for roles across the UK and Ireland, currently anchored in Essex. The position offers a 40-hour week, overtime, pension, and profit-share opportunities within a comprehensive benefits package.

You will work at customer sites, diagnose issues, source parts, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards, while maintaining detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to assess work scope and priorities.
• Communicate with controller and customer on timelines and costs.
• Identify root causes and source parts cost-effectively.
• Ensure work complies with engineering standards and tolerances.
• Inspect and verify safety of equipment before handover.
• Document all service activities with signatures and records.
• Identify follow-on work and discuss with the customer to maximise revenue.
